How to Manage User Permissions

When inviting a new user you'll need to assign them a role allowing access to specific features, permissions and responsibilities when it comes to utilizing Glean.

Outlined below are each role's capabilities:

User

  • View and comment on all vendors and invoices for which they are approvers

  • Approve/Deny invoices

  • Request Vendors

  • Upload Documents

Department Head

  • View all department level vendors and invoices

  • View department dashboard

  • Edit all department level vendors

  • All permissions from "User"

Finance

  • View all vendors and invoices

  • Edit all Vendors

    • Request and Edit Payment Information (Configurable)

    • Manage General Ledger Information

    • Request W-9's

  • Send Approval Reminders

  • Manage Vendor Approvals

  • View Inbox

  • View Reports

  • Pay Invoices (Configurable)

  • Create Invoice

  • All permissions from "Department Head"

Admin

  • View everything (including users)

  • Manage Company Settings (Payment Sources, General Ledger Integration, Payment Information, etc.)

  • Delete Vendors

  • Approve Requested Vendors

  • Edit Users

  • Edit Departments

  • Edit Company Approval Rules

  • All permissions from "Finance"
