Which General Ledgers does Glean integrate with?

Glean currently integrates with the following general ledgers:

  • Xero

  • Quickbooks Online

  • Quickbooks Desktop

  • Netsuite

  • Sage Intacct

  • Dynamics 365

When does Glean create bills and bill payments in the general ledger?

Bill object in GL

This is a configurable setting. Glean will either write ‘bill’ object to your GL upon first approval of an invoice or at the end of your approval workflow.

Bill payment object in GL

Glean writes the ‘bill payment’ object to your GL upon payment of an invoice, and marks the original ‘bill’ as paid.

I just created a new account in my GL but I don't see it in Glean. How long does it take to appear?

Glean automatically syncs updates from your connected GL every hour.

Can I create a new supplier in Glean?

Yes, you can create a new supplier in Glean and it will appear within 1-2 minutes.

My books are closed. Can I still sync updates and new bills to the GL?

No, Glean blocks syncing to GL for closed periods.

If you want to make updates, simply change the record date in Glean to an open period. This will allow you to sync new changes to your GL.

Does Glean have a two-way sync with the connected GL?

Glean does not support a two-way sync with your GL at this time.

We recommend making changes in Glean and syncing the updates to your connected GL.

If I delete an invoice in Glean, will it delete the ‘bill object’ in my GL?

No, deleting an invoice in Glean will not delete the associated ‘bill object’ in your connected GL.

If you wish to delete a specific ‘bill object’, you can do so directly within your GL.

Can I split a bill to different accounts/classes?

Yes, you can split a bill either by line-items or custom amount.
